In this beginner Ceramics course, the students will be exploring the history of clay, the use of ceramics throughout time, as well as modern and functional uses. While enhancing their the art context, students will also be learning basic hand building skills including but not limited to: pinch, coil, slab, additive, subtractive, and the use of clay tools and glazes. In this hands-on class, the students will be learning 21st century skills, art vocabulary, and procedures through the tactile and intensive medium of clay.
